Class assignment to pick a short scene from a movie, make up to 75% of all the foley sounds, double all the voices in Spanish, and mix the whole thing in a multi-surround speaker system of 5.1.2.
Description
This was a very long and tedious project since it was supposed to be done in groups of 3 to 5 people, and I wanted to challenge myself and do it on my own. I spent many hours recording all the SFX in the special Foley booth, then editing it all and making it sound like it really came from the movie was the hardest part. I’d never done such a big synchronization project before, but in the end, I finished and gave it my original touch by having two main soundtracks; the first one consists of a heated argument between two classical Spanish guitars, and the second one comes from the typical Mexican “Corridos”.
