Class Asignment to make an original composition for an AudioVisual media. Also mixed it in a certified Dolby atmos studio with a classic 7.1.4 set up.
Description
In my case, my partner and I chose to challenge ourselves by taking on one of the most beautiful and complex original soundtracks of all time. The purpose was to determine the audience's opinion on the scene if we changed the music. Will people not really give a shot at listening to it because it isn’t the original, regardless of whether it’s good or bad? Would people like it more or less by adding more effects and synths, taking away that Christopher Nolan sound?
Results
The conclusion is that music is extremely powerful in cinema, and that it doesn’t matter who composed it; if an idea works with the emotional side of the scene, then it can feel just as good as the original made by a genius. Got the top mark in our class.
